To follow the short film ‘Til Death Do Us Part’, this feature was made in 2002 by Australian director Philip Noyce and set in the Outback in the 1930s. This is the story of a 1,200 mile journey to freedom made by three spirited Aboriginal girls. Taken from their families as part of government resettlement policies of the time, they refused to accept the repressive conditions and followed the rabbit proof fence back to their homelands. Their story is told from family recollections, letters between authorities and newspaper reports. Starring Everlyn Sampi, Tianna Sansbury and Kenneth Branagh. PG Cert.
